Amnesty’s Torrential Anniversary on Detroit River Walk

May 31, 2011

Dear Amnesty friends and supporters:
Thanks to all of you who could join us under water on Saturday–one of the nastiest, wettest events in our group’s history! We felt almost physically joined to the River!

A few shots from our friends in Windsor and then some from our side. Perhaps someone has photos of the toast at the Traffic Jam? We had run out of steam by then ….

It was very inspiring to sing Finlandia (Song of Peace) with the help of so many good voices, and we were especially grateful for everyone’s patience as we flashed the light of hope to Windsor fifty times–what fun we had!

To Freedom!!!
